About Boardably
What a flight reservation is, how it works and who it’s for.
It's a real booking (a PNR) held with the airline for a seat on a real flight — the same kind of reservation a travel agency makes before a ticket is issued. It is not a ticket: nobody can board with it, and no fare is paid to the airline. It's meant as proof of a booking for a visa application or as proof of onward travel.
Yes. Every reservation is created by a registered travel agency through the airline's booking system and comes with a real booking reference (PNR). You can look it up on the airline's own website under "Manage my booking" using the PNR and your last name.
Usually within two minutes of paying. The PDF is emailed to you and can also be downloaded from your order page straight away. If we can't issue it, you'll be refunded automatically.
$16 per passenger, whatever the route. One-way and round-trip reservations cost the same, and so does choosing to activate later.
Visa applicants who need a booking for their application, digital nomads and flexible travelers who need proof of onward travel, and anyone stopped at check-in or the border because they don't have a return flight.
Most embassies explicitly ask you not to buy a ticket before the visa is granted and accept a confirmed reservation instead. Requirements do vary, so check the guidance for your embassy before you apply.
Tickets & Reservations
How long it's valid, how to check it, and how to make changes.
48 hours from the moment it's issued. After that the airline releases the seat and the reservation is cancelled automatically. You don't have to do anything and nothing extra is charged.
Yes. Pick "Activate later" at checkout and choose the day we should make the reservation — up to a year ahead. We book it that morning and email the PDF, and it's valid for 48 hours from then.
Open the airline's website, go to "Manage my booking" (sometimes "My trips"), and enter the booking reference (PNR) from your PDF together with the passenger's last name. The reservation shows up as a confirmed booking while it's valid.
We only show flights we can actually hold for at least 48 hours, so anything you see in the search results can be reserved. Coverage includes many major airlines on popular routes; if a route doesn't come up, try a nearby date or turn off "Only direct flights".
Yes. Names must match the passport or ID exactly — immigration and airlines will compare them. Enter them in Latin letters as printed on the passport. Reservations are for adults (18+) only right now.
Yes. Choose "Round trip" and add a return date, and add up to five adult passengers in one booking. Every passenger is on the same reservation.
Not in this version. If you need a different date or another 48 hours, simply book a new reservation — it takes about two minutes and costs $16 per passenger.
Issues with your order
Payment problems, late emails, refunds and fixes.
Give it a few minutes and check your spam folder first. Your order page (linked from the confirmation screen and every email) shows the live status. If nothing has arrived after 15 minutes, write to us with your order number and we'll sort it out.
We retry automatically — first the same flight, then an equivalent flight on the same route and date. If that also fails, your payment is refunded in full and you get an email explaining what happened. Refunds take 3–5 business days to show up.
Full refund if we fail to issue. Full refund on request for a scheduled ("activate later") order until 00:00 UTC on the issue date. Once a PNR has been delivered, the service has been provided and it can't be refunded — unless the airline releases the reservation early with more than 24 hours of validity left, in which case we refund automatically.
Double-check the booking reference and last name, and make sure you're within the 48-hour validity window. Some airline sites take a few minutes to sync. If it still doesn't appear, contact us with your order number — we'll check the booking with the airline and fix it.
Names can't be edited once the reservation is issued. Book a new reservation with the correct name and write to us — if the original hasn't been used, we'll do our best to help.
Try another card or a wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your bank may have blocked the payment; a quick call usually clears it. You're only charged when the payment succeeds.
